My perception before enrolling into fashion school was that fashion is for the creative minds who have innate ability to create art. Most tailors make one feel like it is a skill that needs years to acquire.
I enjoyed the instructor’s friendliness and open mindedness towards teaching each student . The instructor encouraged learning at each student’s pace. I really love the one on one teaching.
Fieldman has helped me appreciate the power of patience in creating outfits. It has also helped me think outside the box and explore the creativity I didn’t think I had.

I thank God for my instructors right from the very beginning to the advance class, they've been very wonderful, very encouraging and they are never tired of my questions. I wanted to build my knowledge on practical tailoring. So I sort after fashion institutions that offer essential foundations of tailoring using the pattern drafting method. I tried out some schools and wasn’t getting the value of proper sewing foundation. After a period of time Creative Tailoring Class was referred to me, I signed up for a 3 months basic course for female apparel. From having no clue on how to use a sewing machine; drafting patterns for female wear (skirts, tops and gowns), I became well grounded in setting up and using a sewing machine and drafting patterns for dresses, tops and skirts with ease. Felt like a ‘pro’ lol.
This school has the right structure for laying the essentials in tailoring; from their intentionality with creating a standard scheme of work for every stage from basic to advance, to having warm and kind staff that are well grounded and patient to impact their knowledge to students is noteworthy. Enrolling in this institution is an experience that will remain impactful, valuable and memorable. I am glad to have been a part of this experience.
It’s such a good place to start your sewing training as the environment is conducive and there’s no pressure.
They have the best tutor in the field and they follow their policies. No time wasting and no irrelevancies.
My time there was not wasted as it was worth the time and every penny spent. I will recommend to any one that is looking to start a training in fashion that Creative tailoring class is exactly a place to be.
